I'm Robert James Johnson, an artist and photographer based in Santa Fe. My work explores the beauty in the obvious and the occasionally overlooked, sometimes the re-imagination of cliche(s) and the strangeness of everyday life. I'm not celebrating incongruities, rather taking a second and third look at them.
My ‘water-drop’ Cyanotypes are macro photographs of the small bits of the world about us, bringing the normally unseen to light. I hope to capture the world that is at times both familiar and bizarre. Enjoy!
